1. Killing Enemies

As you search through Elden Ring on your quests, you will encounter enemies worth an abundance of elden ring runes when killed. One great early-game rune farming area is Dragon-Burnt Ruins south of Lake Agheel where several diminutive statue-looking soldiers can be easily be killed for many runes upon death.

On the slope leading up to the Site of Grace there are dozens of albinaurics which can be easily farmed using Wave of Gold, an attack which allows you to collect massive quantities of runes at once while also resetting enemies by resting at the Site of Grace – this technique combined with Golden Scarab Talisman (20% increased rune gain) can quickly level your runes up!

2. Using the Sacred Relic Sword

One of the best elden ring runes farming strategies in Elden Ring involves using the Sacred Relic Sword, available only after defeating the final boss. While using this sword requires 14 Strength, 24 Dexterity, and 22 Faith stats respectively to use, its increased rune harvest when casting Wave of Gold provides significant increases to your rune harvesting capability.

Once past the Stormgate and mounted on Torrent, this method should be employed immediately. Trolls on the cliffs north of it can be easily killed for runes each.

The biggest downside to farming here is that trolls can quickly wipe you out if you aren’t an advanced melee build, so it may be best to visit this spot later in the game or utilize the Gold Scarab found in an Abandoned Cave of Caelid.

3. Casting Wave of Gold

Players looking to efficiently collect elden ring runes can quickly amass one million in 15 minutes using this strategy, using both a Sacred Relic Sword to speed up rune acquisition by 20% and the Golden Scarab Talisman which doubles enemy kill rewards as you fight your way to victory.

This method involves traveling to the third Church of Marika, accessible after receiving Torrent from Melina at Agheel Lake North Site of Grace. After resting, head west along Torrent until passing beneath a bridge; wait for a sphere to appear and chase you until it has caught up to you and chased it off!

If you are fast enough, a swift turn around the cliff and cast of Wave of Gold will see this enemy being swept off and dropped over the edge. Repeated use can help quickly recover initial investment in Sacred Relic Sword.

4. Using the Golden Scarab

Keep a few things in mind when using elden ring runes farming techniques. First and foremost is having access to a weapon with area-of-effect attack capabilities like the Sacred Relic Sword as well as an item like the Golden Scarab Talisman that boosts rune acquisition by 20%.

For this task, the Site of Grace near Dragon-Burnt Ruins in Caelid is ideal. Here, many passive Albinaurics that are easy to kill at any level make for ideal hunting targets.

Your area-of-effect skill or long-range spell can quickly dispatch them all at once, then fast travel back to the Site of Grace for repeat. This strategy can yield many runes in short order – and even help level up Tarnished quickly at the end of a game!

5. Using the Gold-Pickled Fowl Feet

Pairing it with the Golden Scarab Talisman, the Gold-Pickled Fowl Feet can dramatically boost your rune earnings potential. When activated, it increases enemy drop rates and Greater Rune pick-up rates by 30% – leading to greater rune earnings!

For this powerful tool to be unlocked, head to Caelid’s Abandoned Cave. Inside is a friendly dragon who won’t attack, as well as smaller dragons it takes down. Each kill rewards you with 80,000 Runes and five Dragon Hearts which can be used in Incantations spells.

Caelid’s Palace Approach Ledge Site of Grace provides another prime rune farming location early and mid game. There, you will find diminutive statue warriors which are easy to kill for about 1000 Runes per kill.
