Sawyer’s character was originally intended to be an older, slick, suit-wearing urban con artist from Buffalo, NY.

However, when Josh Holloway forgot a line during his audition and later kicked a chair in frustration and swore loudly, the writers liked the representation he brought to the Sawyer character and decided to write Sawyer as more of a southern, dark rider. Jin and Sun are married and share the surname "Kwon", which becomes an important plot point in the final season. However, when Koreans marry, the wife never takes her husband’s last name. In fact, in Korea it’s not even allowed to marry someone with the same last name, except in rare cases..

The weird opening credits were designed by J.J. Abrams on his laptop as a black and white homage to The Twilight Zone. I have watched a lot of television in my life, maybe too much. However, this is the best TV series I’ve seen in ages.

Probably even the best ever

You just can’t predict what will happen. Every week the show seems to tell something new about the island and its inhabitants. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what happens. Then before I know it, the show is done and I have to wait to find out what happens next.

This show is amazing and I hope they keep it going because often great shows in the US get canceled because the ratings start to drop a bit or the executives think the shows are too weird

Extremely immersive! I really hope the series continues so we can get it over here in England as it is a fantastic show and I would love to get the DVDs of this series so I can get all my friends hooked too.
